Background

I have been involved in the second user and new electrical market since 1992 and in 1997 I started to work on the sales and upgrading of It Equipment & in 2005 I became an unltd Millennium Community Champion to set up a not-for-profit social enterprise through my previous experience in the electronics industry.

A social enterprise in Exeter is looking for practical support to establish an alternative technology / education centre for the South West.

A1 Positive Recycling, which is a non-profit, wants to develop a positive community management team to help lead the future development of the project.

It is also hoping to find space in a vacant city centre property as a base for the enterprise.
Neil Wintrip is the CEO and director for A1 which he started as an IT technician upgrading and repairing computers.
A1 is now specialising in local data destruction, computer and mobile phone recycling, ink and toner cartridge sales and recycling.

In May 2005 Neil was awarded an Un Ltd level 1 Millennium award and a Co-op Community Dividend grant.

Neil said the planned alternative technology education centre would be aimed at training, educating and empowering adults with learning disabilities.
He said he was looking for dynamic and committed experienced positive Individuals.

People who can offer practical-hands-on-support and sound business community advice to help run a pilot project and to become part of the board membership to serve on the A1 management team in Exeter.
