Short Description

AutoRouter is a simple and powerful tool that automates the day-to-day workflow process of transferring diagnostic images from radiology departments in NHS Trusts to Teleradiology service providers. AutoRouter enables PACS administrators, technologists and Teleradiology service providers to conduct their tasks more efficiently and seamlessly. AutoRouter?s ability to perform simultaneous DICOM query retrieve transfers makes the transfer of images at least five times faster than any other application in the market today.

4WAYS Healthcare the largest Teleradiology Service Provide in the United Kingdom contracted us to implement AutoRouter in all fifty NHS Trusts that they are currently contracted to report for and any new clients they may acquire.

AutoRouter has been implemented in three NHS Trusts across the UK the first implemented in November 2011; with three more Trusts set to go live in the third quarter of 2012 and the remaining Trusts in various stages of the implementation process.

We are looking for investment that will enable us to improve current roll-out and design, develop and implement two new products AutoRouter HTTPS and AutoRouter VNA.

Executive Summary

AutoRouter:
Integrating Teleradiology Services in NHS Trusts

AutoRouter is an application developed with the goal of automating the process of identifying all backlog cases that are about to breach DOH targets, retrieving the associated diagnostic imaging and transferring them from the NHS Trusts to Teleradiology service provider in a seamless manner so that the NHS Trusts can meet the governments targets without exceeding the allocated outsourcing budget.

Automation guarantees a more efficient workflow and significantly improves the Turnaround time of results for the patient. Such reduced work time will ensure Teleradiology service providers meet their target service level agreements (SLA's) and will enable Trusts to provide the best possible all round care for their patients.

There several design improvements that enable Autorouter to be 5 times faster than any other conventional application on the market.

As a provider of services to the Health Industry every minute can make the difference between life and death.

Current Workflow at NHS Trusts
Step 1
Creating worklists can take 2 minutes to add each patient . A list of 100 patients can take up to 3 hours.
Step 2
Export images from PACS system to local disk the exporting process generates 80 to 100GB of data when transferring images to local disk. To transfer these images to the onsite Teleradiology server within the trust can take any thing between 2 to 4 hours
Step 3
Sending images to offsite Teleradiology PACS server to be distributed and reported on by their Consultant Radiologist can take up to 4 hours for 100 patients.
NB
Any previous imaging that may needed to aid diagnosis has to be flagged to the operations team and then requested from the Trust by email adding more delays to the diagnosis of the imaging.

AutoRouter Workflow at NHS Trusts
